You use light and shadow so well here. In the first panel the light in Silas' eyes and the swirling colors behind him emphasize how blinded/dazzled he is by clone-Selina. (Even though he is absolutely adorable!) And the stark shadows in the last two panels add to the sense of impending doom. I can't help but tense up as I look at this page, and that's a great thing!

@Becky Farb: Aww, thank you, and yes, impending doom, there is that...

@Becky Farb: ooh, yeah! I just noticed how the multicolor light changes to gray and black. So subtle I nearly missed it. That's really cool!

@Alex M: Yeah, that was intentional. Glad you caught it!

@Livin4thelamb: It's like, "Silas, color symbolism! Pay attention!"

@Alex M: Ha ha! I guess he never took Doc's class...

I love the ominous candle. :) Especially the way the flame flickers. Well, I'm guessing something dramatic will happen next week or this is going to be a sad comic quickly! Also, note to self: if someone I love gets overly dramatically sappy, I should watch my back.

@Alex M: HA HA, not a bad piece of advice. And thank you! I think the candle might become the best thing I draw during the entire comic.

GAH!! Such animated tension, such beautiful horrible suspense. Ah, me!

@MJ Neal: Ha ha, thanks! And the poor guy is oblivious.
