Looks like Silas took notes like I told him to.

That first panel is my idea of a good time.

Wow, smooth move! (If it's him--I don't like to assume anything! ;) )

And I totally agree. That looks like the comfiest bed and the most pleasant evening. :)

@Alex M: Very smart not to assume. ;-) although if you read the alt text, it makes it kind of obvious.

Ooohhhh...someone's in love!
Also, she has the flower from the last scene on her nightstand : )
Livin4thelamb February 27th, 2017, 11:20 am
@MJ Neal: indeed she does, good eye!

I was just comparing this page to the last page, and while you can totally tell that this is the night here, I love how it's not sooo dark, and how it looks "nighty" but it's still bright and not super dark. :)

WOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!! If Silas keeps this up, Selina won't have any room for all the flowers!!! :D

@Elizabeth Weadick: Fun fact, this isn't part of the main story, but more like a side story. Three weeks after Selina arrived, she caught a fever and since she had never had the particular strain of sickness before, it made her very ill. The garden herbalist and castle doctor named Horace had her stay and sleep in the castle basement since it was more similar to the cool underground that she had been accustomed to. The heat and dry air on the surface had been tough for Selina to get used to. So when Silas found out she was sick, he brought all the flowers the garden had. I mean ALL of them. Horace pretended to be furious, but he watched Silas grow up and was actually very happy to see him falling for someone. PS: Selina made a full recovery. The flowers helped.

Oh, oh oh!!!!! How dare you...that subtle little cliff hanger...now we'll have to wait to find out what the note says until next week! Aargh...:D :D :D
Livin4thelamb February 27th, 2017, 2:16 pm
@Elizabeth Weadick: Thank you for all your kind comments! Ha ha, yes, don't worry, the letter is a good one. :-)
Elizabeth Weadick (Guest) February 28th, 2017, 2:00 pm
@Livin4thelamb: It'd better be, for all the nail-biting and hair-pulling I'll go through this week....LOL!!!! :D :D

This pretty much defines the perfect night for me as well. I'm amazed how soft you made the bed appear, with the rumpled sheets and Selina sinking into the mattress. And the subtle glow around the flowers was a nice touch. You really are skilled at drawing light.

@Becky Farb: Thanks so much!
