That is the proper response after standing on a leg with a shattered kneecap.

Ouch!!!! You can totally tell that her knees HURT!! Great job on all the facial expressions----it switches from one to another. Hmmmm......I wonder what that sign says? I'll totally be back next week to find out!!! :-D

@Elizabeth Weadick : Yes! This is why she was wearing a leg brace at the beginning of the story! And thank you! I'm eager to show the next page too!

That "Crack!" makes me cringe every time I look at it. I also love the way you did the tear in the final panel. Very emotive.

@Becky Farb: Oh my goodness, thank you so much. Yeah, I had a really bad sledding accident as a kid that involved me slamming my knees into a tree at probably 45 miles an hour - so write what you know, I guess? Ha ha. And YES! I must have drawn and redrawn that dumb tear like 14.5 times and I'm still not happy with it. So I'm glad you think it's good. :-)

Oh, my, now it totally makes sense why Selina had that "thing" on one of her legs in the past scenes!! It is now all totally making sense, and I'm like, "Oh, so that's why..." :D

@Elizabeth Weadick : Ha ha, thank you, Elizabeth! I like putting in little details that make the second and even the third time interesting too. I'm even working on foreshadowing in this book that won't show up until the last book, years later. Glad to see you're enjoying it!
